It’s a way for members to earn even more Reward Points using your Visa Platinum Rewards Credit Card. Each quarter, you can activate offers to earn 2x and 3x Reward Points in select categories. You can earn up to 3,000 points each quarter. And you still earn 1 point for every $1 spent on eligible purchases in non-bonus categories.

If you have a Visa Platinum Rewards Credit Card or a Visa Business Platinum Rewards Credit Card, you are eligible to participate. A quick and easy activation is all you'll need to do each quarter so you'll know which categories are eligible for Bonus Reward Points. To activate, simply log in to Online Banking and select Reward Points under the Additional Services tab, or select More in the Mobile App. Click on the link to Enroll for the current or upcoming quarter.

You can activate for each quarter up to 14 days prior to the beginning of the new quarter, and you can activate up until the last day of the promotion time period. However, you only earn Bonus Reward Points for special category purchases you make after your enrollment. For example, if you enroll for Q4 on December 29, you can earn 2x and 3x points for three days in that quarter’s categories.

The maximum number of points you can earn each quarter through this promotion is 3,000. You will continue to earn 1 point for every dollar spent for eligible purchases beyond that. You are only eligible to participate in one Reward Points promotion at a time.

A Merchant Category Code (MCC) is assigned to a business by credit card companies when the business first starts accepting credit cards for payment. The MCC is used to classify the business by the type of goods or services it provides. We use these codes to group categories and strive to include all relevant codes for each category.

Merchants self-select the category or categories in which they would like their transactions to be listed. Some merchants may be owned by other companies and transactions may not be counted in the category you expect. Additionally, when using some digital wallet services at a grocery store, these may be listed as the merchant rather than the store itself.

Yes. The Bonus Reward Points Program is in addition to the normal 1 point for every $1 spent on eligible purchases in non-select categories.

In this instance, it’s likely that the merchant did not submit charges to your card on that day. For example, if you purchased the item online and the merchant didn’t charge your card until the ship date and the ship date is five days out, your purchase would not qualify. Your purchases must post by the last day of the promotional quarter to qualify.

Balance Transfers, traveler’s checks, money transfer services, payments, returned items, interest or service charges, fees, ATM withdrawals, and cash advances do not qualify as purchases for this Program.

No. As with regular Reward Points earnings, returned items do not qualify for Bonus Reward Points.

Bonus Reward Points will be applied to your account within two to four weeks after the quarter ends.
