New Full-Service Branch Coming to McDonough

Delta Community recently named McDonough as the home of our 26th branch location in metro Atlanta and 29th branch overall. The full-service branch will open in the spring of 2019 and will be located near the historic McDonough town square. It will house full-service teller operations, three drive-through lanes and two ATMs, as well as a complete team of financial professionals to assist Delta Community members with their home, auto and personal loan needs. Philanthropic Fund Grants Awarded in September

We recently presented two grants from our 2018 Philanthropic Fund, totaling $7,500, to the organizations listed below:

• Healing Bridge Clinic received a $2,500 grant to aid in providing quality health care to people in need. Healing Bridge Clinic provides free primary health care to the uninsured and the underinsured of Fayette, Coweta and South Fulton counties who are within the 200% federal poverty income.
• House of Dawn received a $5,000 grant to support their continuing mission to provide stable, loving homes for young mothers and their children, as well as to provide the educational opportunities and life training skills needed to become independent, self-supporting women. These funds will directly support financial literacy activities including money management, budgeting, use of credit, job attaining skills and more.

The Delta Community Philanthropic Fund will invest a total of $105,000 throughout 2018 to 22 metro Atlanta non-profit organizations that support the physical and financial needs of people who live within the communities we serve. The total amount is an increase of $5,000 in recognition of the program’s fifth anniversary in 2018.

HBCU Scholarship Presented to Spelman College Student

In September, Delta Community and Atlanta radio station KISS 104 awarded the third $2,500 HBCU Scholarship of 2018 to Kennedy Martin of Cincinnati, OH.

Kennedy is a freshman at Spelman College majoring in biochemistry. She has a deep passion for working with and caring for children and has dreams of becoming a pediatrician.

Throughout 2018, we will award a total of $10,000 in scholarships to students attending Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) in the state of Georgia.
